St. John's Malankara Orthodox Church, Bellerose, New York
Prayer Group
The St. John's prayer group is comprised of enthusiastic and dynamic members from the parish where they gather once a month. Their meetings involve Bible study, singing hymns, and focusing on specific intentions, such as praying for healing, peace, or the needs of the community.
The purpose of a prayer group is to foster a sense of community, deepen spiritual connections, and seek divine guidance and intervention through prayer.
They provide a space where individuals can openly express their spiritual concerns, seek guidance, and find solace in the shared experience of prayer. These groups often emphasize the power of collective prayer, believing that when people come together in faith, their prayers are amplified and can bring about positive change.
Here we offer a supportive environment for individuals to deepen their spiritual lives, connect with others who share their beliefs, and seek spiritual nourishment through the practice of communal prayer
